Violin, Viola and Cellobabies and Scott

I am really looking forward to getting started with the Stringbabies materials. It is a method that covers everything a beginner student needs whilst also making learning fun and engaging.

My thoughts on teaching music

As soon as I held a violin for the first time, I knew it would be a hugely important part of my life and, as it became a passion, it was clear to me that I wanted to teach others. I absolutely love teaching stringed instruments, and I truly believe that anyone can learn to play an instrument.
I welcome all students – whether they are learning for fun or studying towards exams. Lesson plans are tailored to each individual’s aims, wants and requirements.

Musical experience

Scott started playing the violin at age 14. He received free tuition as part of his schooling and was instantly inspired to be a violin teacher. He went on to study Music at Stevenson College, Edinburgh and later graduated from Abertay University with a Bachelor of Arts in Music Performance. Scott has had a varied career as a Violinist/Violist/Cellist, as well as working in professional learning and development. Scott has worked with both adults and children throughout his career so far.

Scott can teach Violin and Viola to Grade 8 standard and Cello to Grade 5 standard.
