Teaches Violin, Viola, Piano
Locale: Bedfordshire
Lottie was born in Norway and brought up in the UK. She began studying the violin at the age of 4. Some time later, she graduated top of her cohort in 2019 with an MMus in Choral Studies with Distinction from Cambridge University, having previously completed an MA in Music there in 2008. She held an academic scholarship at Jesus College and choral scholarships at Christ’s, Jesus and Clare Colleges.
As a violinist and viola player, Lottie has performed all over the UK and internationally, including on several commercial audio and video recordings, and has performed concertos with a number of orchestras across the UK. She is very active in the local music scene and plays with the two main orchestras in Bedford. She also works professionally as a soprano singer (both as a choral singer and oratorio/concert soloist) and piano accompanist, and also dabbles as a folk harpist.
Lottie has been teaching music since the age of 14 and has a wide range of experience. She teaches violin at Pilgrims Pre-Preparatory School, where she also teaches piano, and works as a singing teacher at Bedford School. She also runs the Bedford branch of Mini Mozart, where she plays her violin to a whole roomful of babies and toddlers every week! Lottie lives in Bedford with her tenor husband, their daughter and an exuberant yellow Labrador.
